Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about booking pet care with Georgia Pet Pal.

General

Georgia Pet Pal is a premium in-home pet care service offering drop-in visits, dog walking, and customizable overnight care. We keep your pets in the comfort of your home while you’re away — fully insured, background-checked, and focused on clear communication with photo updates.

Tap Book Now, choose your service and dates, and complete a quick intake. Then you’ll book from your area’s shared calendar, which is covered by a two-sitter team.

Instead of booking a single specific sitter, your booking is placed onto the calendar for your neighborhood, and one of the two dedicated sitters for that area will care for your pets. This gives you consistent care with familiar faces and reliable availability every day.

Pet parents who want reliable, vetted, in-home care with real-time updates. We’re a great fit for puppies and seniors, pets with medication routines, and anyone who prefers their pets to stay comfortable at home rather than boarding.

Care Visits and overnight Pet Sitting are currently available in the following ZIP codes in Cobb and Cherokee counties. If you’re nearby but unsure, ask — we’ll try to accommodate.

Every Georgia Pet Pal service area is supported by a dedicated two-sitter team. Your neighborhood is always covered by the same pair of trusted sitters who share the schedule for that region.

When you book, you’ll select from your area’s shared calendar — and one of those two sitters will care for your pets. This system ensures consistent care, familiar faces, and availability every single day.

Yes—text is a great way to start a booking or request changes. We’ll confirm everything and send you the official details through our booking system so you have everything in writing.

For most dates, reaching out at least 1–2 weeks in advance gives you the best chance of getting your preferred sitter and schedule. For holidays and peak travel times, the earlier the better—those can book up quickly.

We’ll always do our best to help. Same-day or last-minute requests depend on sitter availability in your area. Text or call us at 470-503-5661 with your dates, times, and location and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

To help us quickly match you with the right Pet Pal, please include:

  • Your name and the area/zip code of your home
  • Your pet type(s) and how many pets you have
  • The dates and general times you’ll need care
  • Whether you’re looking for care visits, pet sitting, or both

The more details you share up front, the faster we can confirm options for you.

If your pet may be in medical distress or needs urgent care, please contact your veterinarian or the nearest emergency animal hospital first. After you’ve contacted a vet, you can text or call us to let us know what’s going on and we’ll support however we can on the pet-sitting side.
