Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about getting in touch and booking care.

  • What’s the fastest way to reach Georgia Pet Pal? +
The fastest way is to call or text 470-503-5661. We’re available from 9:00 AM to Midnight, 7 days a week, and we typically reply the same day—usually within a few hours.

  • Can I book or change a sit by text? +
Yes—text is a great way to start a booking or request changes. We’ll confirm everything and send you the official details through our booking system so you have everything in writing.

  • How far in advance should I contact you to book? +
For most dates, reaching out at least 1–2 weeks in advance gives you the best chance of getting your preferred sitter and schedule. For holidays and peak travel times, the earlier the better—those can book up quickly.

  • Do you take last-minute or same-day requests? +
We’ll always do our best to help. Same-day or last-minute requests depend on sitter availability in your area. Text or call us at 470-503-5661 with your dates, times, and location and we’ll let you know what’s possible.

  • What information should I include when I reach out? +
To help us quickly match you with the right Pet Pal, please include:

    • Your name and the area/zip code of your home
    • Your pet type(s) and how many pets you have
    • The dates and general times you’ll need care
    • Whether you’re looking for care visits, pet sitting, or both

The more details you share up front, the faster we can confirm options for you.

  • What if this is an emergency with my pet? +
If your pet may be in medical distress or needs urgent care, please contact your veterinarian or the nearest emergency animal hospital first. After you’ve contacted a vet, you can text or call us to let us know what’s going on and we’ll support however we can on the pet-sitting side.
